Fall Decorations

I love having a fireplace mantle to decorate. I got rid of a lot of our decorations when we moved, so I have had to come up with new ones. Here is the final product:

I put this wreath together for only $12!

Being a Mom

I love, love, LOVE spending everyday with this little one.
Today, I am especially grateful for my little girl.
I walked around my house and looked at the old empty bottles on the floor...
The dirty dishes all over the counters…
The little tiny hand smudges all over every shiny surface in my house…

I don't know if you can see this little handprint, but it's there.
And the spilled formula on my end table that Eva loves to smear around…

Then I thought about the fact that I have only eaten cereal and chocolate cookies today….
And that I still haven't showered after exercising this morning and I look like this…
Haha…cookie in hand even!
Through all of this…I could have been tempted to get discouraged and think that my house is falling apart, but then this little cutie reaches out to me to be picked up and sits on my lap and giggles…

 and 'talks' to me…
and then squishes her face against mine and laughs…
This little one doesn't care what my house looks like, she doesn't care what I look like, she just cares that I am here for her and that is one of the many reasons I love being a mom!

Pumpkin Pictures

I got together with some other ladies last week to take pictures of our littles in a carved pumpkin. They turned out adorable. Here are the ones we took of Eva.

 I love this face!

We think she is pretty cute. :)

More cuteness

We were spinning Eva around on Morgan's office chair and she was just being so darn cute that Morgan told me to go get the camera and snap a few pictures. We also wanted to document her outfit which Beka gave to us at my baby shower.

What a cutie!

Trip to Carter Mountain

It was date night last night. I was in charge and so I decided to take Morgan to a Charlottesville classic--Carter Mountain.

Carter Mountain is an apple orchard on a hill south of Charlottesville. It offers beautiful views of the city, and you can pick your own fruit (if you like) or buy it fresh. We got some apple doughnuts (very delicious) and two different types of apples.

They have a deck and seating area behind the store, that looks like a  barn. We sat in drizzling rain and enjoyed our treats.

Mouths full of yummy treats!

We then enjoyed the beautiful view. It was a little hazy because there was a rain storm rolling in. We plan to go back when it is clear and the leaves have changed color. Stay posted...

We walked around and checked out all the different stuff they have set up.

Tasting the rain.

Eva wouldn't put her head in the hole. She kept grabbing the sides and holding herself away from it.

Such a sweet daddy-daughter moment!

Halloween is coming…
