Today is a wonderful day! This is where everyone is suppose to chime in and say, "Why, Liza? Why do you find life so wonderful?" The answer is productivity, well that is part of the answer. So, there have been numerous things that I have been slacking on in the recent weeks. The slacking is mainly due to schoolwork. When the semester starts winding down and stress settles in, somethings get put on hold. Not the smartest idea, I know, but it happens. So, due to this effect I had not done laundry, bought groceries or organized my room for quite a while. (Don't judge me too harshly) So, yesterday I did all three. And why did I have time to do all the these wonderful things? Because I am done with the semester! That's right, my finals are complete and one more BYU semester is behind me.
Ok, now for reason number two as to why I am so happy. This is due to abundance. I have SO much to be grateful for. Even as a poor college student, I still have enough resources to keep me alive. I have good food to eat, a warm bed to sleep in and clothes to wear. I also have amazing roommates, friends and family that just add to the joy. I also get to study what I love most, music. Life is just so great.

Stormy Weather
Have you ever noticed how a cloudy day can affect everything. For me it usually makes me feel tired and makes every task (aka classes) seem like an impossible burden. Because of this, I have decided to write about all the positive things that rainy weather has to offer. So, here are the benefits that I am most enjoying:
- It smells wonderful! There really is nothing quite as grand as the smell of wet dirt and pavement, c’mon admit it.
- It makes me feel like wearing sweaters, which I quite enjoy doing by the way.

- It makes me feel like eating comfort foods. Some of my favorites are hot chocolate, ice cream, cheesecake and pumpkin pie. The best snack recently though…a pumpkin pie cheesecake shake at Sammy’s. SOOOOO GOOD!!!! (note it is made of the last three favorites…coincidence? I think not :D )

- I have heard, and maybe this is a rumor, that rain keeps the fall leaves on the trees longer…whether there is truth there or not, I am all for keeping fall colors around longer.

You’ve got to be true to yourself…
My mother gave me some very great advice today that I am going to try and implement in my life. She told me that I need to be true to who I really am. No more apologizing for my nerdy music jokes, or behavior. No more ‘trying’ to fit in by being bubbly and the life the party. Life is best lived and most enjoyable when I can simply be myself. Whew…that took a long time to reach that conclusion. So, here is to having the quiet, self-driven, slightly nerdy, non-life of the party, Eliza back!
